Time and condition critical couriers are on-hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can reach across the UK to ensure samples are delivered within pre-approved timeframes

Medical-Grade Transport Solutions

Our temperature-controlled, tracked courier fleet has a nationwide reach, meaning a stable and secure transport method is within reach as soon as your newborn baby’s samples have been collected. LifeCells are partnered with A4P, an industry-leading systems management and logistics service in the global life sciences sector. A4P provide us with the time and condition critical shipping service that we need to guarantee you effective transportation of your baby’s samples to our labs, which will occur within 24 hours of birth. Couriers are on-the-road 24 hours a day, seven days a week, meaning they can reach across the UK whenever you go into labour. Their nationwide reach helps us to ensure your baby’s samples are delivered to our labs within these pre-approved timeframes.

Not only do LifeCells only use specialist couriers with medical-grade, temperature-controlled vans, but our Collection Kit contains medical-grade packaging and temperature probes that will monitor and stabilise the sample temperatures during their transit to our Discovery Park labs. What is more, all of A4P’s vehicles are fitted with an array of security devices, including GPS-tracking systems, meaning that the samples will be transported in stable and secure conditions.

The samples will travel in a temperature-controlled van, packed in advanced medical-grade packaging. The CRĒDO CUBE™ provides your baby’s samples with superior thermal protection, ensuring that they arrive in pristine condition ready for processing and preservation.

Modular TIC™ (Thermal Isolation Chamber) walls with integrated PCM (Phase-Change Material) and VIPs (Vacuum Insulated Panels) completely enclose the temperature-sensitive stem cell samples, ensuring consistently stable transport climate. The CRĒDO CUBE™ is so advanced, that they can maintain a stable temperature for samples for up to five days, but thanks to our robust protocols your samples require just a fifth of that to get to our labs.

Every step of our transport process has been designed to protect your baby’s stem cells and ensure that from birth to the delivery of the samples to our labs, every step of the process is safe and efficient. By partnering with specialist medical couriers in A4P and by using highly advanced packaging solutions like the CRĒDO CUBE™, we at LifeCells have put together an industry-leading collection and delivery process for you and your family.
